Well, well. It's been sometime since the news page has been updated, so i've decided to let you in on some TOP SECRET stuff. Okay, not really top secret but most definately exciting stuff for anyone who enjoys the ramblings of ms. dank. We finished our first studio session with DAMAGE last night which means we are well on our way to putting out the next disc. Drum tracks we're layed for three tracks, and we will be adding on to what we have in the coming weeks. We are still mulling over what to call the next disc, so if you out there in the dank army have any suggestions please leave your ideas in the messageboard section of this website. Also, for any of you out there on the interwebs that waste your time on FACEBOOK please search for us and become a fan. Pretty easy stuff. Just type dora dank in the search box and you'll be on your way. We have a couple of shows coming up if you fancy the face melting. Check out our show page for the dates, places, and times. We will be shelling out some brand new tunes, as well as some old favs. Keep checking back for recording updates and new show dates near you. And as always, we love you.

..is the first official day of fall. The time of year when the leaves begin to change color and mother nature starts to wind herself down and prepare for the winter that is falling quickly on her feet. And this year, like every other year, she will shake off that which she no longer needs and take a deep breath to ready herself for the cold, baron bastard son that is the painful grip of the final season of the year. And just as nature, man must also move in the direction that readys himself for the next step in life...the next step in the progress of growth. Ms. Dank has recently taken a step toward growth as well. Although it was with heavy hearts, we have decided to add a new drummer to the dank. Taking into consideration the best interest for everyone involved, we trust we have made the right decision..and trust that you will feel the same. A man some call Gregword will now be running the kit. Mr. Gregword, we believe, is the cylindar peg that fits perfectly in Ms. Danks'...uh, hole. We are looking forward to, as should you be, to the coming months and upcoming shows with our newest member. Melting smiles is still #1 priority, just like it has always bean, and the faithful dank army will not be dissapointed. Reworked songs, as well as brand new material, will be surfacing at a venue near you...(here's when you check the show page and write those dates on your calendar). Last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank Ron for everything he has given and done for/with us. Your contribution is the reason we can do what we do. God speed good friend, and thank you. You, as well as 'Keithan', will always be on the list of people we owe the most to...besides ofcoarse, ourselves.
So kids, stock up on heavy booze, supplies for chilly, and gas for the generators. Winter is headed our way and will be here sooner than you know it. Keep supporting live, local music...because if it wasn't for you, we'd just be playing with ourselves.

The Dank is still alive n' kickin...been on an extended vacation, avoiding the smothering Missouri/Kansas heat...FYI..there is a new show posted...the annual SOULLESS summer reunion show at Jerry's Bait shop in Lenexa...this is always a great evening...anytime the mighty three piece SOULLESS hits the stage the intensity an rawk level blows your ear drums, melts your face an causes permant scaring, disfigurement an post tramatic episodes....there are shows booked for late summer an early fall an winter so stay tuned for more to come...There also will be new merch, designs an schwag...so be the first on your block to drape the DANK gear....Hope everyone is having a RAWKIN HOT SUMMER...have fun, stay cool an STAY LOUD....love Ms. DANK an her boys....

HELLO...cyber folks....long time no talk...sorry for the long delay in updates but things have been real hectic and choatic @ the ol'dank camp....First off we would like to thank Barrett @ the buzz.fm in Columbia, Mo. for the interview Wednesday night...always supporting the Dank with some spins...we greatly appreciate the support....Hope to make it out that way for some future shows....The Dank boys have been concentrating recently on writting some new tunes....if you caught a live set recently you heard the new track "Boozehound" a special little ditty about the life and times of the Danks very own Clint Shelton....There are a couple more untitled tracks in the works so keep your ears open for some fresh Dank bits coming your way....Be sure to check back for upcoming shows in late July and throughout August....Be sure to check Dora Dank out at the ol'space place.... www.myspace.com/doradank, catch a glimpse of the "Clutch" video and leave a comment...Hope everyone had a great 4th of July....More to come...stay tuned....

Dora Dank would like to announce the collaboration with Twilight Public Relations. Twilight is a locally owned and operated PR,promotion and booking agency specializing in live entertainment. Dora Dank is very excited to be apart of the Twilight family and hopes that the partnership will be beneficial and successful for both parties.

Well kids, it's been awhile, and our camp is proud to report we are excited about where our new material is taking us. We've survived the holidaze, and are getting closer to putting this miserable season behind us. We hate you winter. Don't come back next year. The dank will also be spreading thier wings a bit in '08. With shows lined up right now for Manhattan and Tulsa, we expect to be adding more very soon and hopefully making it to a place near you. If your bored, go to youtube and search dora dank...there is some live video clips a fan was generous enuff to post. We are also on MySpaceTV..just search it for dora dank. This Sunday we are being interviewed by KC Anthem, an internet Television show. Look for more details about that soon. New merchandice will also be surfacing soon, so you can update your sticker and t-shirt collections. Ofcoase, we are more excited to see the vintage tee's running around in public. Well boys and girls, there are only four more shows inked for this year. We've completed the 'hometown tour' and were very pleased with our fans in Clinton, Mo and Eudora, Ks...not to mention the bands that travelled with us to the two rock deprived towns to help dish out the face melt. We've had a very successful year, and are looking forward to our winter break to write brand new material for the masses. Remember, just because you won't see us around for awhile after the 16th of November, doesn't mean we are gone...infact we are closer than you think. Be sure to grab a cd from us to tide you over untill the spring. We hope to see everyone out in these last few dates. We love you all, and keep supporting the local music scene...it's only with your help that we are able to do what we love..thanks dankers.

Well, well...our show at the hurricane went just as good as we could have hoped. The place was packed, and all the bands threw down the rock..just as expected. Quite the successful evening. And we would like to thank you for being a part of it...we wouldn't have been able to do it without you.. Sunfowers and Sinners is now in your hands.. A week after we released the CD, we participated in the clubwars semi's at the Beaumont...and (honesty) to our suprise we won. BUT, we now not only have a date now to play the Uptown Theater in the clubwars championship, but if we win that we open up 989 the Rock's FREAKERS BALL!! So, once again, we are reaching out for your help. Tickets for the Uptown show are avaliable at the box office, and at ticketmaster outlets....Please support your local dank, and then maybe you could see us open up 98.9's FREAKERS BALL!!!!

Yesterday we recieved 1022 CD's. Today we are rehearsing...and tommorow we will be thinking of you all, and how you should be at the Hurricane on the 24th. ALSO, we are now taking submissions for the new "dank" story.. Think you know us well?? Email us your story and if it's good enuff, we'll post it for the world to see..

That's right boys and girlys..the master and art was sent off today for mass dupe...so the united states postal service is helping to bring you one step closer to owning the new disc sunflowers and sinners!! thank them by putting up your flag tommorow and leaving cupcake in the mailbox...carriers love chocolate..:)

After recieving an email from our good friend Afterburn Bryan, we are that much closer to Sunflowers and Sinners...we will pick up the masters tonite, and then send them off for replication ASAP!! You can reserve your copy now by contacting us thru the web..or just plan on being at the HUGE CD release party we are throwing at the Hurricane August 24th with the Burning Fifteen, Soulless, and One Degree Difference. It will be one hell of an evening, we promise.. Its sooo close my balls are starting to itch ( and not just because i shaved them recently..) Hopefully you can't stand it either...a wise man once said.."Better than the deed, Better than the memory, the moment of...ANTICIPATION!!!" but trust us..the deed we do will definately delight!!

The other nite the boys and myself payed a visit to Bryan and Afterburn Studios to listen to and pick up the latest mix of our cd. All the tracks are posted here on the website, (be patient, i will get them up today) so go check them out, play them, download them, burn them, give them to your friends, and let us know what you think. Post your thoughts on our messageboard...we'd love to hear your opinion. So, with that said, Sunflowers and Sinners is just that much closer to being in your hands...
On a side note, WE NEED YOUR HELP..!! Please buy a ticket from us (no, we are NOT making any money off this) and come to the FINALS for the Emergenza International Battle of the Bands we are participating in. This past weekend one of our own, Clint, was graced with the honor of being named Banzai Magazine's Outstanding Frontman!! Thanks to all that have supported us up to this point, he wouldn't have been able to do it without you!! And ofcoarse he would be nothing without his beloved partners in crime, Eric, Daniel, and Ron. Many thanks to them, Banzai, Jimmy Kilroy, and our fans....for keeping it DANK!!

This Saturday we play at the Banzai Awards Show, which means someone (if not all of us) is getting something in award form... Daniel was SOOO close last year to becoming "Sexiest Four-Stringed Bassist to Wear Shorts and a Thundercats Shirt", that we think this just might be his year!! Come down Saturday and find out for yourself!

In all seriousness, we would love to see you there...if we do win something, it will be our first, and we are very excited to FINALLY be recognised in the local music community for something more than our drinking abilities and all around debauchery.. but I suppose you can't deny the obvious.

One month into the new year, and hating the cold weather in camp dank.. We've added a few more shows we are VERY excited about, and I personally got word the other day the cd is getting closer!! We are shooting for a spring release...and I know you can't wait. We can't. A little trick question trivia...Can you name all the albums that the existing band members have made (together OR with separate bands)? Soon enuff, you'll have the best release yet!! So kids, until I have nothing better to do....

From all here at Camp Dank we hope you had a safe and happy new year. This week Clint will be back in the studio to finish up vocal tracks for the upcoming release. Also this week we will make our first trip to Wichita with our good friends Cassiopia, JC's house will definately rock on the 6th! Be sure to check the calendar and swing by one of the shows we have this month. We're throwing California Turn-a-round into the set...help us put the hammer down!!

..in the studio went pretty well. after xmas Eric and Clint will be back in with Bryan to finish up the three tracks we started this weekend. We also have a new date with the mighty B-15!!
